After years of refining our connection point, we have developed the ultimate locking system. However, when used incorrectly, the interlocking tabs can sustain damage, leading to an improper fit for your jack extensions.

To protect this crucial connection point, we designed our Topographic Jack Pad to cover the entire surface. When snapped into place, it completely eliminates metal-to-metal contact, protecting your gear.

Beyond protection, this pad creates a super-grippy lift point—a massive advantage when using your off-road jack in less-than-ideal terrain. The topographic design acts exactly like a mud-terrain tire: it displaces dirt, sand, and debris into the valleys while allowing the heavy rubber ridges to grip the vehicle's frame securely.

HOW TO SAFELY USE JACK EXTENSIONS ON LIFTED VEHICLES

When using 8" or 15" off-road jack extensions, safety and physics are your top priorities. Follow these critical rules:

  • Lock it in: Always ensure the tabs on the lift pad are fully interlocked with the opposing tabs on the extension or adaptor base.
  • Understand the "Arc": This is the most common mistake made on the trail. As a floor jack lifts, it doesn't just move up—it moves back. From its lowest point to its highest point, the jack lifts in a large arc.
  • Let the Jack Roll: Because of this lifting arc, the jack must be able to roll under the load while lifting. (Allowing the vehicle itself to move is incredibly dangerous).

This rolling action is exactly why Pro Eagle jacks feature large, wide off-road wheels. They allow the jack to roll smoothly under the load, even in soft sand or loose dirt. If both the jack and the vehicle are stationary, the lifting arc will pull the bottom of the extension away from the load, which can cause the vehicle to fall or permanently bend jack components not designed for horizontal stress. Always watch the jack's movement while lifting to ensure it rolls forward.
