KOH 2026
Celebrating 20 years at the toughest off-road race on the planet.

Stick-and-ball sports generally end their seasons with their biggest events of the year. In off-road racing, we kick the season off with the biggest event of the year — King of the Hammers. Along with a few hundred other vendors, a few thousand racers, and more than a hundred thousand off-road fans, we make the trek to a small lakebed in Johnson Valley, California, and call it home for two to three weeks.
For us, it is the ultimate torture test for our products. We go not only to sell new gear but to push our jacks to the limit and discover where — and how — we can improve them.
How do we get that feedback? We work with teams like BFGoodrich that provide pit support to race teams, along with many others. This year, we had jacks in the pits for Maxxis, Yokohama, Milestar Tires, Can-Am, Polaris, and 4 Wheel Parts, to name just a few.

In addition, we offer free on-site service and repairs. This year alone, we worked on more than 60 jacks over the 12 days we were there.
Most needed simple fluid changes, but on some we replaced pumps, and on others we swapped out high-wear components.
Every jack was fully inspected, and if we found something that didn’t look right or showed wear in a new way, we replaced the part — or even the jack itself — so we could bring it back with us for further study.
It wasn’t all work, though. This was our tenth year hosting a pit challenge at our booth, and it was our biggest yet. We know that term is overused, but we were genuinely shocked by how much this event has grown and how many people wanted to participate.
We organize the challenge with our friends at Buggy Whip and use the latest vehicles from Polaris for competitors to change tires on. Teams had to carry a five-gallon Fuel Factory gas can to simulate a fuel dump, run back to the front of a Polaris RZR Pro R, jack it up, remove and replace a 35-inch BFG, lower the vehicle, and sprint back to the start/finish line to stop their time.
We drew a crowd of more than 100 people cheering on the 30-plus teams that competed. The grand prize was a hand-painted jack from Shayna Guy, along with whips from Buggy Whip, radios from Rugged Radios, and an inflatable couch from Slouch Couch.

We also spent some time with Cameron Steele and his team. Cameron will be working with us for the foreseeable future, using our jacks not only for his race efforts but also on his Trail of Missions tours in Baja and in his retail shop, Baja HQ.
This partnership gives us another direct connection to some of the heaviest users of our products. Cameron brings more than 40 years of experience to help us build even better gear. He and his team drive thousands of off-road miles each year and rely on our jacks more than they would probably prefer to. We are excited to be working with Cameron and the Desert Assassins team. Cameron raced five different events in five different vehicles at KOH and delivered strong results in every class.

We also worked with King of the Hammers founder Dave Cole and race director Ben Napier to offer a limited-edition KOH 20th Anniversary jack. Once we received approval, we turned Shayna loose. She coated the jacks in Cerakote and stenciled the 20th Anniversary logo on the sides. They were a huge hit and sold out within the first few days. We want to thank Dave for collaborating with us and Shayna for always being ready to turn our crazy ideas into reality.
This year brought great weather, and it was one of the best KOH events to date. After 12 days in the desert, we were happy to head home — but we already can’t wait to get back next year.
See you in the dirt!
Next up for us is Rodeo X Rigs in Rancho Cucamonga, California, followed by Overland Expo Costa Mesa.
